Empathetic support for individuals and couples

Hypnotherapy can help with habits and cravings (such as smoking, overeating, nail-biting or sugar cravings) by working with the subconscious triggers that keep these patterns going. In a calm, relaxed state, your mind becomes more open to supportive suggestions, making it easier to choose healthier behaviours day to day.
It can also be helpful for phobias and fears, such as fear of flying, spiders or public speaking. Together, we gently reduce the intensity of the fear response and build a greater sense of calm and control, so that previously distressing situations feel more manageable.
Hypnotherapy may also support physical health concerns like chronic pain, insomnia and weight management, as well as confidence, self-esteem and working towards personal goals. It can sit alongside counselling as a complementary therapy, helping you process emotions more deeply and develop kinder, more resilient ways of responding to life.

Hypnotherapy functions by guiding you toward a peaceful, centered headspace where the subconscious is receptive to healing and growth. Whether you prefer to meet in person at the local clinic or via secure online sessions from your own home, the process begins with a supportive conversation about your needs and boundaries. You will then be gently led into a state of deep relaxation while remaining fully conscious and empowered. This allows us to address deep-seated fears or habits and plant the seeds for lasting change. Many clients discover significant shifts in just a few meetings, though a personalized series of sessions often yields the best results for long-term well-being.
I offer these sessions both locally and online to ensure you feel supported wherever you are. Please reach out to discuss how we can begin.

What to Expect in a Hypnotherapy Session
Before your first session, we’ll have a brief chat about what you’d like help with and what you hope to change. You’ll have time to ask questions and share any worries so you feel comfortable and informed.
When the session begins, you’ll sit or lie down in a comfortable position. I’ll guide you through gentle breathing and relaxation so your body and mind can begin to unwind. You remain awake, aware and in control the whole time.
As you relax more deeply, I’ll use calm, reassuring words and imagery to help you focus inward. In this state, your mind is more open to positive suggestions that support the changes you want to make, such as easing anxiety, changing habits or building confidence.
You can talk at any point, and if something doesn’t feel right, you can say so or choose to stop. Most people feel peaceful, safe and deeply relaxed.
Toward the end of the session, I’ll gently guide you back to full alertness. You may feel lighter, calmer or more focused. We’ll take a moment to check in, answer any questions and talk about next steps.
Every session is tailored to you, your pace and your goals, so you always remain respected, heard and in control.
